What is Parenting Hypnotherapy?

Parenting can be joyful and still feel like too much. New parents describe not coping, little support, and a sense that everyone else is managing better. Parents of children and teens describe anxiety, sleep battles, school refusal, ADHD, or screens taking over the house. Clinical hypnotherapy is one structured way to work with the automatic worry, body stress, and habits underneath those presentations.

At Norwest Wellbeing, parenting hypnotherapy is a hypnotherapy pathway, not a hypnosis audio product and not a typical hypnobirthing programme. The public hub is /parenting. Money pages live under /hypnotherapy/conditions/….

Who it is for

About 1 in 5 expecting or new mothers and about 1 in 10 expecting or new fathers experience perinatal anxiety and/or depression (PANDA / COPE). Baby blues are common and usually short-lived. Persistent symptoms need a GP or maternal child health nurse.

How clinical hypnotherapy helps

Hypnotherapy works with automatic patterns: worry loops, startle and tension in the body, and habits that fire before you decide. Sessions at Norwest Wellbeing combine clinical hypnotherapy with strategic psychotherapy. They do not replace medical assessment, medication, or crisis care.

Typical adult course: initial consultation up to 90 minutes ($300, including an audio recording of the trance portion), then returning sessions up to 60 minutes ($300). Child work may use The Home Session pathway where that is the clinical fit. Book in-clinic at Norwest (Sydney Hills) or Zoom Australia-wide.

When to seek help in Australia

See your GP or maternal child health nurse if mood, panic, or not-coping lasts beyond the first weeks, affects bonding, or stops daily function. PANDA is 1300 726 306 (perinatal). Lifeline is 13 11 14. In an emergency call 000. Norwest Wellbeing is not a crisis service.

If you want complementary hypnotherapy alongside that care, start at /parenting or book via /appointments.

FAQ

Is this hypnosis or hypnotherapy?
The ranking and clinical pathway is clinical hypnotherapy. Personalised audio may exist as a secondary product on some conditions; it is not the hub spine.

Do you offer hypnobirthing?
Typical hypnobirthing programmes are not part of the Parenting cluster. Pregnancy anxiety and postnatal mental health have their own hypnotherapy pages.

Can both parents book?
Yes. Mothers, fathers, and other primary carers can book. Children under 16 are booked by a parent or guardian.
