PSYCH-K® (pronounced “sike-kay”) is a personal change process designed to help individuals transform self-limiting subconscious beliefs. According to PSYCH-K® Centre International, “PSYCH” refers to psyche — mind, soul, or spirit — and “K” represents the Key to sustainable success. In a session you stay fully awake. Together with your facilitator, you find the beliefs that get in the way of a goal you care about, then use short processes called balances to help your subconscious accept a new belief you choose.

PSYCH-K®

Why people look into PSYCH-K®

You might already know what you want to change. More confidence. Less self-sabotage. A different relationship with stress, money, or old patterns. The hard part is that part of you still seems to run the old program, even when you try hard to think differently.

Those automatic patterns often sit in subconscious beliefs formed earlier in life. Things like “I’m not good enough,” “it’s not safe to succeed,” or “I can’t trust my body.” When your conscious mind wants one thing and your subconscious expects another, it can feel like pushing with one foot on the brake.

PSYCH-K® is designed for that gap. It is goal-focused rather than open-ended talk. You arrive with something you want to change, and the session is organised around the beliefs connected to that goal.

What a session is like (in brief)

You and your facilitator talk about your goal, then use gentle muscle testing (a light press on an extended arm) to check which beliefs feel congruent and which do not. Before changing anything, the process includes a permission check. Then you move through a short balance while focusing on the new belief you want. Afterwards, muscle testing is used again to check whether that belief now tests as integrated.

You are not hypnotised. You can talk, ask questions, and stay involved the whole way. For a fuller walkthrough, see what to expect in a session.

What PSYCH-K® is not

  • It is not hypnosis or a trance
  • It is not a medical or psychological treatment
  • It does not guarantee a particular outcome

Officially, PSYCH-K® is about belief change and is meant to sit alongside professional care, not replace it. If you need medical or mental health support, that still comes first.

At Norwest Wellbeing

Rebecca Smith facilitates PSYCH-K® as its own service, alongside clinical hypnotherapy. People often book for confidence and self-esteem, stress-related patterns, prosperity or habit goals, and themes linked to women’s health. You book through /psych-k/appointments, separate from hypnotherapy booking.

PSYCH-K® is not medical or psychological treatment. It complements professional care and never replaces it. No particular outcome is guaranteed; results depend on your goal and your participation.
