How to prepare for your session

Prepare for your hypnotherapy session by completing your intake form, planning your arrival or Zoom setup, and coming in comfortable clothes with your phone on Do Not Disturb.

Last reviewed 8 August 2026

The goal of preparing for your session is simple: arrive with your intake form done, a clear idea of what you want to change, and nothing competing for your attention, so the full appointment goes into the work itself.

Prerequisites

You need a confirmed booking (see your confirmation email) and access to the intake form, which is sent after you book. If you can't find it, check spam or read complete your intake form.

Steps

  1. Complete your intake form before the appointment. It tells your practitioner what you want to change and lets them prepare your session in advance. New clients get the full intake; returning clients continuing the same issue get a short check-in of about 6 questions.
  2. Get clear on your goal. Spend a few minutes deciding what you want instead of the problem ("sleep through the night", "feel calm presenting") not just what you want to stop. Specific goals make the session sharper.
  3. Plan your arrival. In-clinic: Nexus Building, Level 2, Suite 210, 4 Columbia Court, Norwest NSW 2153. Allow time for parking. Visitor parking on B1 can be limited during the day, and there's free undercover parking at the Hills Council car park nearby. Zoom: set up a quiet private room, a device with camera and microphone, stable internet and headphones.
  4. Dress comfortably. You'll be sitting or reclining during hypnosis, so wear whatever lets you relax. There's nothing special to bring. See what to bring to your appointment.
  5. Silence your phone. Put it on Do Not Disturb before you take a seat in the waiting area. Check-in is self-service: no need to knock; your practitioner greets you at your appointment time.

Troubleshooting

If you haven't received your intake form or confirmation email, check your spam folder first, then contact hello@norwestwellbeing.com.au or phone (02) 8069 9777. If something comes up and you can't attend, reschedule via /appointments → Manage more than 48 hours out so your $50 deposit transfers to the new time. For what the appointment itself looks like, read your first session. What to expect.
