Yes. Norwest Wellbeing works with teenagers. For booking and intake purposes a teen is aged 13–18, and teens are booked through the child/teen flow at /appointments. Anyone under 16 must be booked by a parent or guardian, and under-18s need parent or guardian consent.
How teen bookings work
A parent or guardian books through the booking for a child or teenager (under 18) option. The system applies the age-appropriate practitioner and intake form automatically based on your teen's age. Steps and payment are the same as any booking. See how to book for a child or teen.
Teen intake forms
Intake forms for teenagers respect their growing independence. They can be completed together with you, or your teen can complete their part privately via a parent-created link with a PIN. Details are in teen intake forms.
What teens commonly work on
Teens come to us for many of the same concerns as adults. Anxiety, exam anxiety, sleep issues, self-esteem and confidence, phobias, and focus among them. GP and health-professional referrals note that our services suit motivated adolescents 16+, and services are generally for ages 16+ on their own; younger teens attend with parent involvement.
Fees
Sessions are $300 for an initial consultation (up to 90 minutes) and $300 for returning consultations (up to 60 minutes), with a $50 deposit for in-clinic bookings. See session fees.
Common questions
Q: Does a parent have to be at the session? A: A parent or guardian must make the booking for teens under 16 and must consent for anyone under 18. Whether you sit in is worked out with the practitioner based on what suits your teen. See your role as a parent.
Q: Can my teen complete the intake form privately? A: Yes. You create a link with a PIN and your teen completes their part themselves, or you can do it together.
Q: Can a 17-year-old book their own appointment? A: Clients under 16 must be booked by a parent or guardian, and anyone under 18 needs parent or guardian consent. Phone (02) 8069 9777 if you are unsure how this applies to your situation.
