Most English-language hypnosis history is European or North American. Australia’s published trail is thinner. This page does not fill the gap with clinic marketing.
Key evidence
Clinical hypnotherapy in Australia is typically a private service. Norwest Wellbeing is a clinic, not a university department and not part of AHPRA. There is no AHPRA “hypnotherapy registration” to cite, and we do not claim one. See how we evaluate evidence for the public grading rules.

Limitations
We have not commissioned a full archival survey of Australian mesmerism, stage circuits, or society minutes. Until that exists, silence beats a colourful story.
