Hypnosis is the state of mind we feel as we pass between awakened and sleep states. So as you fall asleep and wake up, you are going through the same hypnotic state daily. It also works increasingly better the more times you have been hypnotised. (This is why we record your session for you to reuse when needed).

Hypnosis is also called a “trance state”. It simply means that the conscious mind becomes distracted by something separate from what you are doing. A trance state could be likened to when you are driving a car, and your mind is thinking about something other than driving the car. Daydreaming is another excellent example of the trance state.

Absolutely, and a large and ever-growing body of scientific research supports the many benefits of hypnosis. The dramatisation on TV and stage performance over history has been represented as a forceful mind control where those hypnotised are unaware of their actions. In reality, the hypnotised person is always in complete control of the situation.

At Norwest Wellbeing, we are clinical professionals in the health industry.

We work with various health fund providers directly or through our association membership. Not all health funds participate. Depending on your health fund and level of coverage, you may have the opportunity to get a rebate back on your session. Claims are not managed by us in any way and are managed entirely by you directly with your health fund.

We offer our services over the Zoom platform, but we primarily do face-to-face sessions.
